Last week was my third wedding anniversary, so I thought it would be a perfect time to share my absolute favorite (and completely biased) invitation suite I have ever created..mine! :)
Many designers usually fall in love with creating wedding stationery after they DIY-ed their own invitations, but my love for creating wedding suites began well before I created my own! When the time came to create my own invites, I had been in this whole design gig for a while so it was an easy decision to create my own. Knowing the vision I had for my wedding, I knew exactly how I wanted to achieve with the look of my invitations: think glitter, modern, and a pop of aqua blue for color.
Sitting down to design them however, was a bit of a challenge. Having fallen in love with so many different looks over the year or two that I have been designing for other couples, it was tough to land on just one modern design that I loved. In the end, I went with a aqua double layered invite, a silver glitter belly band, a modern monogram and charcoal envelopes. I could not be more in love and it completely fit the theme for our wedding!
Being a designer saved us quite a bit of money since I was able to DIY all the paper goods for our wedding. I also created Save the Dates, folded programs, koozies, napkins, gift bags for our out of town guests, signage for our tables and candy bar, and thank you notes. August 8th still holds the best memories of my life, it was such a fun day to celebrate with all of our closest family and friends! And three years later, I couldn't ask for a better husband to celebrate it with :)
